Mr. Straughn is an associate at Rai & Barone, P.C. Mr. Straughn received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, with a focus in integrated circuit design, from Arizona State University in 1995. Mr. Straughn spent many years as a circuit design engineer in the Phoenix area prior to attending law school on a merit scholarship at Western New England College School of Law in Massachusetts. Mr. Straughn was Dean’s List recipient and received his Juris Doctorate in October of 2005 after attending Arizona State University as a visiting student for his third year of law school.
While attending Arizona State, Mr. Straughn completed a focused program for a certificate in intellectual property law, including many courses in patent law, copyright, trademarks and international intellectual property law. Mr. Straughn gained considerable experience while in law school, clerking for a well established personal injury firm in Massachusetts and for a construction law firm in Arizona prior to obtaining his degree. Mr. Straughn was admitted to practice in Arizona in 2006, and Nevada in 2007 and currently practices in the area of construction defect litigation.
Mr. Straughn is a member of the State Bars of Arizona and Nevada, the Maricopa County Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the American Intellectual Property Lawyers Association.
